Mauss is a creative studio based in Pretoria, South Africa, specialising in bespoke nursery/kids room décor and furniture.

Founded in 2017 by Jeanine Bergh, our journey began with a heartfelt gesture—Jeanine crafted her first mobile as a baby shower gift for her niece. What started as a personal creation soon blossomed into Mauss, a name synonymous with unique and imaginative nursery design.

Jeanine’s artistic vision is deeply rooted in her upbringing, having been mentored by her exceptionally talented mother in the Art of Making. This early guidance, combined with her background in Architecture and Art Direction, has shaped her distinctive design style.

At Mauss, we take pride in creating décor and furniture that are not just beautiful but also lovingly handcrafted with high-quality materials. Our mobiles include two distinct collections: our bespoke range, known for its exquisite detail and intricate characters, and our minimalist range, which embraces a refined "less is more" philosophy.

While our mobiles are the heart of what we do, we have expanded our offerings to include nursery and kids' furniture, accessories, and much more.
